Nip in the Air

Finally, it’s here:  Fall. The world breathes a sigh of relief as the oppressive summer heat slowly ebbs away, leaving that nip in the air that whispers of campfires and hints at the possibility of mistletoe. The light takes on a golden tint, making you believe in the magic you haven’t wished upon since 5th grade. And the leaves, oh, the leaves! Caught up in the excitement of the season, they blaze to life in vivid colors as if living it up one last time before winter. The anticipation in the air is almost tangible and most definitely smells like cinnamon. Things happen in fall.

As nature revels in the cooler temperatures, so also does the human race. We get our pumpkin coffees and our pine scented candles. And at last, we get to step out in the coats and scarves that have been too long absent from our wardrobe. Follow the leaves’ example and burst forth with your own vivid coloring. Reds, yellows, oranges and greens are the colors to look for this season. Compliment your wool coat and add an extra layer of warmth by wrapping a patterned scarf around your neck. It can get chilly at the campfire when the sun goes down so don’t forget a hat. Things happen in fall. Are you ready?
