Today marks our very first, "We Give Wednesdays" in our boutiques. We are very excited to announce that the first Wednesday of each month, we will be donating 10% of proceeds to different charities.
Today, April 3rd, will be our first of many We Give Wednesdays and the proceeds of today's sales will benefit the Christian City Children's Village. All of us at Lizard Thicket have a very close relationship with the girls in the Christian City Children's Village. We enjoy so much visiting once a month and participating in different crafts and activities with them! Our past activities have included making jewelry, tie-dying t-shirts, decorating cupcakes, hay rides, cook outs, decorating stockings at Christmas, and kickball games!
The Children's Village at Christian City offers life services, and a safe haven for children in crisis, ages 5-17. Often, the children there are victims of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. Christian City's commitment is to minister to the needs of the children and their families by bringing about a healthy reunification. In circumstances where reunification is not possible, Christian City's goal is to provide a safe and loving home environment where the children can feel nurtured.
